We're seeking a passionate IT Security Engineer to join our graduate programme. You'll gain excellent personal and professional development, while assisting delivery of our IT departments security strategy across our business.
Over two years, you'll complete a number of rotations within our Information Systems function where you will: Research current security trends and advise on mitigation options, perform routine security analysis, report on our current security posture, investigate security alerts generated from our systems, deploy and maintain various security technologies, assist in the remediation and hardening of various systems as well as creating engaging end user communications tools, phishing simulations and training campaigns.
To support you on your journey, you'll be assigned a mentor to help you develop the various skills and capabilities needed to be successful in each department.
Once your placements are complete, you can apply for a permanent role in one of our IS teams based on your preferences, strengths and business requirements.
What we’re looking for
While success is important to us, we like to go about our business in line with our RIGHT Way values. So, you’ll be passionate about cyber security, a creative problem solver, innovative and a team player who;
- Has an accredited Bachelor’s degree (2:1 minimum) in Cyber Security
- Has knowledge of the following: Security within Operational Technology environments, CE Plus auditing process and requirements, Windows/Linux servers’ deployment and maintenance, Microsoft cloud-based security products, Experience of VPN and CASB solutions, IAM/PAM principles, an understanding of working within an ITIL environment
- Experience of working with the above, in addition to managing on premises / cloud-based applications and working with Azure / AWS environments is welcomed but not essential
- Has a deep passion for continuous learning
- Acts responsibly, putting the MTC’s interests ahead of personal ambition
- Can communicate effectively to a technical and non-technical audience
- Promotes teamwork, supporting colleagues through challenging times and enjoys celebrating collective success
- Has a problem-solving approach to identify how the MTC can operate and innovate securely
