The MTC develops and proves innovative manufacturing processes and technologies in an agile, low risk environment, in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. We focus on delivering bespoke manufacturing system solutions for our customers. We continually encourage young people into exciting careers in engineering and project management, to deliver the development and embedment of technologies that will impact UK industry for years to come. 

On our four-year programme, you will learn and demonstrate skills required to successfully manage our complex projects including communication, budgeting/cost control, management of stakeholders, schedule, risk and project governance. You’ll deliver day-to-day project management tasks following the project management process and standard working practises within the Project Management Team and Project Management Office.

As well as on-the-job training opportunities, you will be working towards your BSc (Hons) Project Manager degree, provided by Coventry University in forms of lectures, webinars, online tutorials, support surgeries, library access and reading material. You’ll study using Coventry University’s modern learning environment and will be supported by our highly experienced tutors. You will also have access to our comprehensive library and other fantastic student support services.

 

What we’re looking for

While success is important to us, we like to go about our business in line with our RIGHT Way values. So, you’ll be passionate about project management, have a keen interest in technology, be a logical thinker with attention to detail, and have excellent problem solving abilities, innovative and a real team player who has;

  • GCSE/Level 2: Grade C/Level 5 or above in Maths and English
  • A Levels/Level 3: Grade BBC or • BTEC: Grades DMM or L3 Business Administration apprenticeship
  • the ability to deliver both internally at work but also externally through achievement of a degree
  • the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are delivered successfully
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised, disciplined, methodical

(All level qualifications must be completed before September 2023)

We may require all our successful Apprentices to complete security vetting, should you work and support on any Aerospace and Defence Sector projects.
